Razer launches new Incubator (ZW3I) to drive GameFi adoption

Razer has announced the zVentures Web 3 Incubator for game companies, a platform poised to facilitate the growth and adoption of the blockchain industry. To achieve this, zVentures will work alongside blockchain companies in the creation of Web 3 games.

The early-stage venture firm, zVentures is a crucial component of Razer’s strategic investment efforts. The group has founded the zVentures Web3 Incubator (ZW3I) to collaborate closely with genuinely original blockchain-enabled gaming concepts which they hope will revolutionize the gaming industry.

Razer contends that immersive and engaging gameplay is the cornerstone of any Web 2.0 or Web 3.0 game’s success. While blockchain technology might introduce cutting-edge new capabilities to games, the essential elements of what makes a successful game are constant across all games. The majority of blockchain games now available on the marketplace place more emphasis on utilizing blockchain technology than on developing fun and pleasant gameplay, which has a negative impact on player engagement and retention.

To find promising Web 3.0 games and partners, zVentures will make use of ZW3I to give game quality priority in its selection process. The emphasis will be on assisting established game publishers and developers as they transition to utilizing blockchain technology and join the Web 3.0 ecosystem, as well as new game developers and publishers who are first and foremost concerned with the gameplay experience.

Selected game developers will have access to Razer’s marketing and partnership assistance programs, which will enable them to create innovative and fun games for the entire world of gamers. Furthermore, they will have access to zVentures’ extensive network of alliances in addition to Razer’s robust ecosystem of hardware, software, and services.

To promote growth and innovation in the gaming sector, which some analysts now estimate to be worth more than $300 billion globally, Razer launched zVentures in 2016 as a venture capital fundraising arm. Comparatively, if the forecasted CAGR of 55.8% holds true, the global market for blockchain technology is anticipated to reach $100 billion by 2028. It is anticipated that the entry of significant IT businesses will help to expand blockchain gaming. They include Amazon Web Services, IBM, and Intel.
