Top Move-to-Earn Projects

The word Move-to-Earn is a chip off the play-to-earn innovation. With Move-to-Earn, users are encouraged to engage in physical fitness and receive rewards for practicing a healthy lifestyle. We have outlined some top move-to-earn projects below.

Genopets

Genopets is a move-to-earn mobile role-playing game that rewards players for exercising. Built on the Solana, the game aims at motivating users to practice a healthy lifestyle by doing daily walks. Also, the game rewards active players with NFTs.

Players can participate in the game by acquiring a Genopet. A Genopet is a digital animal spirit encoded into the player’s real-life personality. It is a non-fungible token (NFT) that can be enhanced and personalized. Each Genopet develops as each user updates their data and completes challenges. Experience points (XP) in the game reflect these changes.

The move to earn concept stems from play-to-earn. The game gathers the health data of players like heart rate, sleep, and other activities from digital wearables and data capturing devices like Google Fit, Fitbit, Strava, and smartphones to their Genopet accounts.

As the real-life player improves on these activities, their Genopet improves. These improvements and real-life movements are converted to experience points (XP) in the game, and they are also rewarded with $KI for being active. Genopets offers two avenues for earning, which are Battle and Prediction models.

Battle and Predict

The battle system in Genopets allows players to participate in multiple battles at different times. In addition, the prediction model offers a decentralized prediction market where other users can participate from the sidelines by predicting the winners of contests. Correct predictions are rewarded with the $KI token.

Genopets operates a dual token economy;

$GENE is the governance token and can be staked to earn rewards. Holders of $GENE influence the game’s development and are allowed to vote and make decisions concerning the game’s future. On the other hand, $KI is an in-game currency used to purchase habitats and in-game items.

METZ

Metz bills itself as the world’s first move-to-earn NFT and blockchain-based technology game. It is built for Android and iOS devices and runs on the Solana blockchain.

It tracks the body movements and converts them to real-time data using a G-Sensor algorithm. Each smartphone contains a G sensor. The body’s movement and completion of challenges help to grow the NFTs.

Metz app also integrates health data, so the more you walk, the more your Metz grows. People can also compete in the international METZ community reaction challenge. They work with apps like Google Fit, Apple Health, and the like. You could have more than one METZ account.

The METZ are 16 different breeds of animals with the male and female gender. Each breed is unique to itself. Their growth consists of three stages; the Baby stage, the Teen, and the Adult stage.

METZ uses METZ as the in-game token, built on the Binance network.

FITMINT

FITMINT (FITT) is an incentivized web3 game built for fitness and workout with SocialFi components. When running or working out, you earn NFTs or cryptocurrencies. It has an in-app tracker and motion sensor that helps to track activities. Fitmint is built to help individuals incorporate a practical fitness lifestyle. You do not need in-depth knowledge of crypto to be able to use it. You need to EXERCISE and EARN.

At the start of the game, you mint sneakers in the form of NFT to be able to start earning. The sneakers can be personalized or bought from other players with MATIC in the in-app marketplace.

Once you start using the app, you earn $FITT. $FITT is an ERC20 token with a total supply of 10 billion. The in-game currency is used to do the following.

  • Access to gameplay
  • Upgrade your sneakers
  • Unlock new features
  • Repair your sneaker
  • Cash-out your tokens
  • Staked to get rewards
  • Governance

The daily activities of players depend on the amount of energy in the game. Once energy is depleted, you can’t earn it even if you continue the workout.

Organizations use WelR (an in-app feature used to create and customize health and wellness programs) to create challenges and encourage employees to compete with each other. While competing in these challenges, players are rewarded with the $PUML coin and NFTs. In addition, you can sell your earned rewards for profit.

$PUML is the in-game currency of PUML. It is awarded to active users and can be used to purchase physical products on the app. It runs on the EOS blockchain with a total supply of 500 million.

PUML app works seamlessly on both Android and IOS devices and connects easily with wearables like Apple watches, Fitbit, and Samsung watches.

The governance token of Step is the STEP token. It is built on the Binance Network and has a total supply of 1 billion. The game requires players to buy about 19,000 STEP tokens before participating. Users can stake their STEP tokens to earn more rewards. To be eligible for rewards, the user must take at least 4000 steps in a day.

Step run on both Android and iOS devices. The app is synced to Google Fit on the Android device that tracks steps, calories burnt, and average heartbeat. The user’s performance is calculated based on their activities, and they are rewarded.

iOS devices, on the other hand, make use of Apple Health which acts like a smartwatch to track the user’s activities.

WALKEN

WALKEN is a Solana-powered platform that combines the play-to-earn and move-to-earn aspects. It uses smartphone-based movement detection algorithms and connects with wearables to count users’ steps.

Each user has a character in the game called CAThletes. The steps of users are converted into GEMs. One thousand steps are equivalent to one GEM. The GEMs are used to upgrade CAThlete’s speed, strength, and stamina. In addition, the character is used to engage in battles to earn the WLKN token.

The WLKN token is WALKEN’s fungible governance and staking token built on the Solana blockchain. You can use the token to buy NFT items to improve your NFT character in the game. In addition, holders of WLKN will be able to vote and make decisions that affect the future of the app. The token can only be earned when users participate in battles.
