  • Metawear is bringing fashion to the metaverse. 

 

The Metaverse innovation has gone wild since gaining traction in mid-2021. Following this, several projects have attempted to explore the vast utilities of the technology. While most brands are bent on bringing blockchain gaming to the Metaverse, MetaWear is towing a different path— pivoting mainstream fashion with the latest technologies and integrating fashion into the virtual world.

How MetaWear is Exploring Fashion 

MetaWear is bootstrapping both mainstream and Metaverse fashion. It aims to bring more value, leveraging newer technologies (Web 3.0) such as blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR). The challenges and untapped potentials in the global fashion and textile industry, currently worth $3 trillion, inspired MetaWear.

MetaWear expects that the increasing demand for apparel and the proliferation of e-commerce platforms will serve as catalysts for more growth in the fashion industry. Thus, it has built cutting-edge infrastructure to accommodate and expedite the anticipated development while enabling an intersection and interaction between real-world fashion and digital fashion.

The MetaWear Infrastructure

The growth projection for the US clothing market in 2025 stands at a staggering $285 billion, a strong indication that the global market will explode in the near future. MetaWear is building an ecosystem that caters to real-life and digital fashion needs and provides solutions to inherent challenges in the industry. 

The infrastructure will feature a design office, transformation office, design academy, and HR office, including other functionalities for entrepreneurs and designers to build real-life and digital fashion brands. 

MetaWear’s first focus is the universe. Elements of the MetaWear Ecosystem 

  • MetaWear Design Office 

The MetaWear Design Office will enable entrepreneurs to create their brands and collections, which they can also launch in the real world and the Metaverse. In addition, the MetaWear ecosystem bills itself as self-sufficient. Thus, investors looking to set up investments can hire a team of designers trained by the MetaWear Design Academy and implement their business models. 

  • MetaWear Transformation Office 

The Transformation Office is designed to help mainstream brands successfully transition to digitization. For example, drawing on the services within the office, real-world brands could digitize their fashion products, deploying them into the Metaverse realm, which expands the market for these products. 

  • MetaWear Design Academy 

MetaWear has established a fully-kitted academy that trains entrepreneurs and corporate brands on the rudiments of fashion design.   • MetaWear Shops

The MetaWear Shops will sell certified textile products with digital utility. They will also sell new generation fashion and design products.

In the Metaverse, avatars will be displayed in shops, either naked or donning simple standard clothes. In addition, virtual fashion shows featuring special collections created by new and famous designers will be hosted and sold in a digital environment. It also means that users can sport the clothing of their favorite brands in the Metaverse with generated avatars, which creates a broader market for traditional fashion enterprises and their products.

Certain actors will drive the MetaWear ecosystem. These include entrepreneurs, designers, and teachers. They will contribute to growing the community based on their respective roles.

  • MetaWear Entrepreneurs 

MetaWear considers the entrepreneurs as investors and owners of the MetaWear Design Offices and MetaWear Transformation Offices. They implement the business model in different locations, adapting them to varying product segments based on their target market. At the same time, the MetaWear Design Academy and MetaWear HR will provide professional employees to manage the offices. 

The MetaWear Design Offices and Transformation Offices are entirely independent. They could work with the big players in fashion while creating their virtual collections to sell in the Metaverse.

  • MetaWear Designers

Designers are just as relevant as the entrepreneurs to the ecosystem. They can work full-time in Metaverse design and project offices and as freelancers providing services to external projects.  

MetaWear will host competitions and events where designers can participate to win prizes. Designers could leverage resources in MetaWear Academy, learning new systems to improve their craft and acquire relevant certificates. As an enabler of decentralization, MetaWear allows designers to thrive and build with groundbreaking projects.

MetaWear will organize fashion design competitions and forums, digital fashion roadshows, digital fashion shows (3D Avatars and Models),multi-brand transformation exhibitions, fashion gatherings, fashion tech events (fashion geeks gathering), fashion HR meetings and job opportunities, digital fashion conferences.

  • MetaWear Teachers

The MetaWear ecosystem also hosts teachers who are also certified senior designers with advanced design and application knowledge. MetaWear teachers can level up in their careers by giving online and physical lectures at the MetaWear Academy. Moreover, they can teach fashion and design outside the Academy, at universities and educational institutions offering related programs. 

Also, they can consult for collections and big fashion brands. The MetaWear ecosystem offers teachers several career choices and a flexible work environment and schedule.

The MetaWear Utility Token— $WEAR

Like most ecosystems, MetaWear introduces a native utility token to the ecosystem it is building. The $WEAR token will power several activities within MetaWear, such as staking while enabling certain privileges and benefits for stakers and holders. Furthermore, MetaWear plans to incentivize new and existing users with 10% of the $WEAR total supply. 

The token’s utility is vast, cutting across various activities such as purchases and transactions on MetaWear products NFTs, MetaWear Office assets (e.g., Tools Designs and libraries), or collections, event tickets, premium access to services (promotions or tools), NFT 2.0 Trade (Cross Platform Digital Wearable Clothes, Accessories Huge Library, and owned Marketplace)

Others include digital brand transformation payments, shopping mall trade, and buyback, rent and operate, franchise NFT fashion stores, rent, and commissions, in-game fashion collections and purchasable tools libraries (Big Creator Ecosystem Billings), event & competitions— Adam & Eve (Celebrity Metaverse Meta-Human Fashion Models Fees and Fashion Shows); event costs in the cross-platform shopping mall, staking incentives, governance, and voting and the curation of MetaWear memberships.

$WEAR has a 5 billion total supply, with an initial circulating supply of 31 million. As a BEP-20 token, the BNB chain (previously Binance Smart Chain) will pivot $WEAR transactions. 

WEAR will list on Gate.io on March 22 at 15:00 UTC as the WEAR/USDT pair.
