Everton Football Club and Aston Villa are set to launch their fan tokens ($EFC) & ($AVL) respectively before the end of the week on the Socios.com App.
In early august, Everton published a statement announcing its plans to launch its fan token on the Socios.com app. Few days after, Aston Villa also announced it will launch its own Fan token on the App.
Fan tokens are digital collectibles which fans can use to influence decisions in the favourite sport clubs. Everton revelaed that the holders of its token will be able to gain access to its content and experience the Socios.com’s geo-location, augmented reality feature “Token Hunt” as wel as being able to put their skills to the test against other fans from around the world in Everton-thmed games, competitions and quizzes.
Everton also revealed that the token will be launched soon and existing Everton Season Ticket, Hospitality and Official Members will have the option to receieve a free $EFC Fan Token for a limited period of time.

Aston Villa Fan Token
Chief Commercial Officer at Aston Villa, Nicola Ibbetson said the partnership is a new and innovative way for all Aston Villa supporters to get involved with the club, whether they are local or international and they are looking forward to working with Socios to create and develop interactive opportunities to take the Club closer to fans across the globe.

Everton $EFC will go live on the 15th of September, while the Aston Villa’s $AVL will be online on thursday the 16th of September, 2021.
