Mysten Labs announced partnership with Tencent Cloud, a technology and entertainment firm. Mysten Labs is the firm behind the Sui Network, and is rolling out solutions to drive web3 adoption. Mysten Labs affirmed collaborating across GameFi, payments and cloud services while growing the Sui Network ecosystem.

According to the Mysten Labs brand and consumer marketing officer, Jen Kye, the partnership with Tencent Cloud has been kept “under wraps’ but is finally out. And this has left the team excited according to Mysten Labs’ CEO and co-founder, Evan Cheng.

Tencent Cloud is a cloud services and products firm. The firm was recently recognized as a “Major Player in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide General-Purpose Computer Vision AI Software Platforms 2022 Vendor Assessment report.”

Sui is a Layer 1 Blockchain designed for low latency and asset management and runs with Move VM. It claims to be “the successor of Facebook’s now-defunct Libra blockchain”.

Mysten Labs, growing with Sui Network launched a play-to-earn game, Frenemies to allow users to test the Sui Testnet wave 2 to help test the staking functionality.

Playing the game involves “staking tokens to support your assigned validator and compete to see who can top the leaderboard”, Mysten Labs explained. Access to the Mysten Labs play-to-earn game is not limited to only validators and node operators.

Mysten Labs in Q4 2022 raised $300 million in a funding round that valued the Lab at $2 billion. .
