Solana blockchain is set to lose two of its top NFT projects – y00ts and DeGods – come next year. Rohun Vora, AKA Frank DeGods, founder of DeGods, and Kevin, CEO of Dust Labs, are the brains behind the two projects. Frank in particular gave a hint of the future of y00ts and DeGods in a tweet a few days ago.
y00ts and DeGods are NFT collectibles launched by Dust Labs in 2022. The y00ts NFT collection is designed with a unique intellectual property structure and to be suited as a PFP asset.
There are a total of 15,000 NFTs in the collection that cost 375 DUST tokens for mint. The project performed well with over 190,000 SOL in volume within 24 hours after launch.
Conversely, DeGods was launched in October 2021 on Solana NFT as a 10k NFT collection and by August 2022, it set a record with a new all-time high price in the bear market.
With all this success, DeGods noted that the project will bridge to Ethereum in Q1 of 2023 while y00ts also shared that the project will bridge to the Polygon network.
The future of y00ts & DeGods
Both teams added that “details of the bridge will be released when it’s ready & tested” as this is the first time they are taking on such a massive project. They also told the NFT community to expect a season 2 road map for y00ts and a season 3 road map for DeGods in January.
Solana has not had a good time recently, especially with the effect of the collapse of FTX. This is said to have affected the NFT ecosystem of Solana.
Rohun explained in a Twitter space that DeGods NFTs need to find another ecosystem where it can grow as it finds it difficult to do so on Solana. “If Ethereum is where we have to go to keep growing, it’s what we have to do.”
Rohun also hinted that the move into Polygon by some top brands is an inspiration for the team.

Solana to “pay” y00ts team; Polygon partnership
There are rumors that one of the reasons behind the exit of y00ts and DeGods from Solana is that the Rohun-led team asked that Solana pay to prevent the project from exiting the Solana ecosystem.
In addition, a DeGod official said that Polygon had to pay for the project to migrate from Solana via a partnership fund and that details about it will be announced. The grant will not exceed two years according to the source.
