By the end of 2021, Women operating in the technology industry have closed mouth-watering deals worth millions of dollars, created new ventures and promoted the cause of gender equality. Based on research, In sub-Saharan Africa, women constitute only 30% of professionals in the tech sector. Further checks reveal that only 12% of global fintech founders and co-founders are women, and only 6% of FinTech companies have female CEOs.
According to an online report by Cryptocurrency Exchange, KuCoin; The number of women in Norway who own some form of cryptocurrency doubled during 2021. Another survey by KuCoin released in March 2022, indicated a more even distribution between male and female crypto users in Turkey, with women accounting for almost half (47%) of all crypto investors.
