The theme for International Women’s Day(March 8) 2020 is, I am Generation equality: Realizing Women’s Rights. The theme is aligned with UN Women’s new multigenerational campaign, Generation Equality, which marks the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
The year 2020 is a pivotal year for advancing gender equality worldwide and in all sectors of the economy, as the global community takes stock of progress made for women’s rights since the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action.
Today multiple obstacles remain unchanged in law and in culture, women and girls continue to be undervalued; they work more and earn less and have fewer choices; and experience multiple forms of violence at home, workplace and public spaces.
The emerging global consensus is that despite some progress, real change has been agonizingly slow for the majority of women and girls in the world.
Currently, not a single country can claim to have achieved gender equality. In the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency ecosystem, women are pushing for equality and opportunities in making policies and adopting projects developed by them the ecosystem.
This push is seen in various Blockchain woman’s group and the objectives that drive their activities. Some of these objectives are Bringing together, connecting, and promoting all groups that support women and our various causes; Organizing and sustaining a community of women dedicated to advancing Blockchain and STEM technologies; Offering strategic and informed program initiatives and educational resources that foster an inclusive learning environment; Creating an atmosphere of collaboration that stimulates and supports innovation within the space, amongst other objectives.
The overarching message for this years International Women’s Day (IWD) is “an equal world is an enabled world” and we are encouraged to “celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.
At CryptoTv Plus, we are laser-focused on the ensuring Generational Equality, stressing on the push “an equal world is an enabled world” would give to the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Ecosystem.
Because this IWD, we want to show who inequality hurts the most: The Female Gender.
