Axie Infinity has unveiled Origins Season 6, promising players a more advanced experience. The new season will be open for play for only 49 days with gameplay designed to reward players.
Axie Infinity is an online game universe revolving around Pokémon-esque creatures known as Axies. The game is built on the Ethereum blockchain and uses non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to represent in-game digital assets such as the Axie creatures.
Origins is a new battle version of Axie Infinity that introduces a brand new interface, all-new game mechanics, art, and a new way to play the game. Players can build the ultimate team of Axies and conquer their enemies in strategic card battles.
The game has an Adventure mode where players can take down evil Chimeras or challenge other players in PvP mode. It is also available to play via Mavis Hub and Android APK in Early Access.
Origin of Axie Origins
The first season of Origins was launched in September 2022 after Axie Infinity: Origin rebranded to Axie Infinity: Origins.
This Season, which was announced at the AxieCon, a Web3 event organized by Axie Infinity, came with a prize pool of 112,000 AXS tokens. Progressively, Seasons 2, 3, 4, and 5 were released in January, March, May, and July 2023 respectively.
According to Axie Infinity, this Season has a reduced turn time of 45 seconds, which makes battles more fast-paced, rewarding quick thinking and adaptability for players. Players will need to make decisions swiftly, adding a new level of excitement to the game.
On the rewards, a total of 112,000 AXS has been earmarked for players, which are valued at over $500,000. Additionally, Season 6 comes with various balancing updates and new game mechanics to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
It introduces a range of balancing adjustments and innovative gameplay elements to maintain a dynamic and captivating gaming experience.
As Axie Infinity gears up to welcome players to its upcoming game, the project disclosed its allocation of tokens. This includes 6.08 million AXS for the team, 554,750 AXS for advisors, 3.38 million AXS for play-to-earn incentives, 1.69 million AXS for the ecosystem fund, and 3.43 million AXS designated for staking rewards.
