Pancakeswap has announced its new game, Pancake Protectors. The game, which was previously released as a beta version, has undergone further development and is now available to all holders of the CAKE token, the native token of Pancakeswap.
Pancake Protectors is a P2E game that allows holders of CAKE to engage by going on missions, winning battles, building a formidable team, and earning rewards as well.
PancakeSwap is a leading multichain decentralized exchange with low transaction fees, high-speed trading, and a user-friendly platform. It has over $438 billion in total trading volume and $2.5 billion in total liquidity locked up, making it the leading multichain DEX in the industry.
Mobox is a Gamefi protocol built on BNB Chain, combining yield farming and gaming NFTs to create a thriving ecosystem. It is community-driven and rewards users for engagement and enjoyment.
Functions of CAKE in the game
According to Pancakeswap, its native token, CAKE will be utilized by users to: increase the speed at which they progress in the game by consuming the token; claiming CAKE Heroes which are the NFTs used in the game; purchasing in-game currency, and other gifts; unlock bonus funds in the game; and earn by staking the token.
Less than a month ago, Pancakeswap launched Version 3 of its AMM DEX on Ethereum and BNB Chain to the public. Updates showed that Version 3 is designed to boost the profit of liquidity providers and reduce trading fees compared to other platforms such as SushiSwap.
The trading fee is segmented into four different tiers: 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.25%, and 1% while the initial version had a single tier of 0.25%.
The game released by Pancakeswap is also one of the latest steps in 2023 to revive the play-to-earn market relative to what it was in between Q4 2021 and Q3 2022. Illuvium also launched a game, Overworlds Private Beta 2 on Immutable, in the third week of May 2023.
