Puma in celebration of its 75th anniversary will be launching an NFT avatar collection while bringing the Super PUMA NFT collections again. The sports brand is celebrating its 75 years of existence and wants to connect with fans with NFTs promising opportunities to win bounties.
Super Puma is a model of the Puma icon and a heroic personality that will be represented on the blockchain. “Through our hero, we intend to build narratives and tell complex stories through comics, visual content, and much more in the future,” Puma added.
A breakdown of the NFT release shows that a total of 10,000 Puma NFTs will be minted from 22nd February 2023 at 10 am EST but only 4,000 will be accessible for sale at a mint price of 0.15ETH. According to Puma, holders of the Nitro collection, one of its first NFTs, will receive a free airdrop after all Nitro NFTs have been minted.
Puma targets community participation
The multibillion-dollar firm explained that the purpose of the Super Puma NFT is to provide a unique PFP (Profile Picture) for users and a “representation of community participation”. Puma added that the the decision to release this NFT was taken after a collective reception of feedback from the community including Nitro holders and other newer community members.
Other plans explained by the brand include featuring Super Puma on toys, and products that will stand as a collection of the story around its icon. These plans will be for the Web3 and traditional markets linked with the Puma brands.
