BNUG– Blockchain Nigeria User Group announces a Blockchain and FutureTech Conference/Exhibition. The conference is themed ‘Immerse and Grow in FutureTech’ and targets technologies of the 4IR and their intersection with blockchain technology. It promises to be an immersive experience for the blockchain/cryptotech community and is scheduled to hold from the 29th to the 30th of September 2022. The venue for the event would be at the Civic Center, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
BNUG is a Blockchain Technology advocate and interacts with government policymakers and regulators to support businesses, train talents, and open up career opportunities in Blockchain Technology. The BNUG conference started in 2017 and ran annually across Nigeria. Interestingly, the BNUG 2022 conference is the 13th edition of the conference. The conference will be held over two days, and participants will have access to Virtual Reality Rooms, GameFi platforms, and interactions within different metaverse worlds.
The founder and CEO of BNUG, Mr. Chuta Chimezie, told CryptoTVplus in an interview that the BNUG 2022 conference will be used to draw the community’s attention and the general public to the trending innovations of the day. Blockchain technology has come to stay, he said.
Mr. Stanley Jacobs, former Business Development Manager for MasterCard Africa, VP FintechNGR, and Chief Executive at Stanbic IBTC Financial Services Limited, will chair the BNUG 2022 conference. The BNUG’s conference guest list has its special guest to be Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Hon. Director General, National Agency for Technology Development NITDA and Prof. Pat Utomi, Founder/ CEO, Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL), Founding Senior Faculty, Lagos Business School-Pan African University will deliver the keynote address.
Previous conferences held by BNUG attracted personalities who are advocates of the positive impacts of Blockchain technology like Prof Kingsley Muoghalu, Dr. Mrs. Oby Ozekwesili, Dr. Andrew Nevin, Dr. Segun Aina, and many eminent figures as keynotes.
BNUG 2022 conference will feature participants’ minting of special NFT assets and the use of Blockchain technology to support their preferred 2023 Nigeria presidential candidate. Other features of benefit to participants include Conference goodie bags NFT, Networking & Boat Cruise NFT, Metaverse Experience Room NFT, and BNUG Exclusive events NFT. However, the projects are still on testnet, and the launch date is yet to be announced.
The BNUG 2022 speakers list includes founders of leading blockchain and NFT companies, NFT artists, famous collectors, metaverse founders and developers, and crypto lawyers and legal entrepreneurs.
