Patricia, an indigenous cryptocurrency startup is for the second time sponsoring the popular reality TV show which commands millions of viewers from across the globe.
What is Big Brother Naija – BBN?

From time to time, House Mates are voted by viewers and the least voted House Mates is eliminated and this continues winner who wins a lot of prizes.
The Big Brother Naija has become a never-to-miss entertainment program yearly by Nigerians and viewers across the globe with fans spending billions of naira voting for their favorite housemates to win.

Big Brother Naija Sponsorship
This is the second time Patricia is the sponsor of the most popular Reality TV show program commanding millions of viewers across the globe.
After the first time as a sponsor in 2020, the founder of Patricia speaking in an interview said when the company sponsored the show at first; there was a huge growth in the user signup in the company. It was a risk they took but it paid off.
13,000 User signup in 12 hours
In an interview the CEO of Patricia, Fejiro Hanu said after the Ad ran on Big Brother Naija 2020, there was a huge impact on their user base. The company saw 13,000 sign ups in 12 hours after the first ads aired on the popular reality tv show.
Fejiro Hanu said the growth was huge and thus the company has to return to upgrade its category in the show.
Other Big Brother Naija Sponsor
Patricia is not the only sponsor of the Big Brother Naija Program 2021. Financial technology company Abeg Technologies is also a sponsor of the popular reality TV show.
What is Abeg App?
Abeg Technologie’s product, the Abeg App is a fast growing financial payment app that allows people to easily send and receive payments. The company said it created the Abeg App “because they wanted to help people by making sending and receiving money fun, safe and easy.”
The company’s ‘mission is to meet and exceed the expectations of its customers by providing the easiest, fastest and most effective ways to send, receive and pay for stuff through peer to peer transfers.’
In recent years, Crypto firms have been working with several entertainment companies and platforms. Few weeks ago, Asian based cryptocurrency trading platform Crypto.Com partnered with Sport Organization UFC and Formula 1. Via these partnerships, Crypto.Com would gain widespread publicity and adoption.
This is similar to what the CEO of Patricia, Mr. Fejiro Agbodje when his company was a sponsor of the Big Brother Naija show in 2020.
The Big Brother Naija Show just started with the House Mates getting introduced into the House. Will this year’s show be as interesting as the last?
We await to see, and for the businesses sponsoring the show, they should expect higher levels of user adoption.
