Galxe website shuts down as platform falls victim to exploit

Galxe’s website was shut down following an exploit that compromised user funds. The incident highlights the security risks that Web3 platforms face and the need for users to be cautious when interacting with such platforms.
The exploit was first mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) when a user posted a tweet about the platform being hacked and also posted the address of the hacker, warning users to revoke access to the platform.
Interestingly, several instances of crypto platforms being hit by scams and security breaches have occurred in recent months. Web3 platform, Galxe, has now become one of the many victims to be compromised. Similar incidents have also occurred with other platforms such as Discord and MyEtherWallet.
KashKysh also posted on X (formerly Twitter) that about $82,812 had been stolen so far from Galxe. In addition, he noted that the hacker is likely the same person who hacked Balancer, a DeFi protocol, a few months ago.

The hacker is likely the same individual who hacked Balancer a few months ago [the wallets that funded this are linked to that previous hack]
Their on-chain name is "angel-drainer" (even flagged by etherscan)

After the hack, users took to social media to express their frustration and concerns over the incident. Many of them shared details of the amount of funds they had lost, highlighting the impact of the hack on individual users. There were also calls for greater transparency and security from Galxe and other Web3 platforms.
