Hester Pierce, a United States Commissioner recently tweeted on the 24th of December 2020 that Elad Roisman is the latest Chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

This Commissioner came out to publicly acknowledge and wish the new SEC Commissioner well on twitter. She stated that she looks forward to Roisman’s leadership on the bird App. Apparently, Jay Clayton who was the former US SEC Chairman had publicly declared that yesterday, the 23rd of December 2020 was his last day in office as the SEC Chairman. The latter once stated that by the end of 2020, he was gracefully going on to the next phase.

Elad Roisman was called into the US SEC office as a Commissioner by the United States President, Donald Trump some two years before now. He has also acted as a Counsel to NYSE Euronext which now belongs to the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). ICE is the parent company to Bakkt futures exchange. Elad is generally perceived as a crypto proponent in the crypto sphere.

Elad Roisman made the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs understand that:

“…the SEC must examine and re-examine its rules, regulations and guidelines to ensure that they are still working as intended to accomplish the SEC’s mission. This is most recently manifested in areas such as data protection and cybersecurity, as well as the emergence of new investments and technologies such as initial coin offerings and blockchain.”
