I haven’t trade Cardano NFT — Cardano Co-founder

Published

on

In a recent video broadcast by Charles Hoskinson, the co-founder of Cardano (ADA) discussed his general policy regarding his personal involvement and ownership of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) within the Cardano ecosystem.

Cardano is a blockchain platform that aims to provide a more secure and scalable infrastructure for the development of decentralized applications and smart contracts.

The platform is built in layers, with the settlement layer handling the native cryptocurrency ADA and the computation layer designed for smart contracts and decentralized applications.

Cardano uses a consensus algorithm called Ouroboros, which aims to achieve security while being energy-efficient.

Speaking about NFTs on Cardano, Charles began by showcasing a hand-painted NFT artwork from the “Apes Society” project, which he had received as a gift during his visit to Rare Evo, a web3 event.

Then he noted that he doesn’t hold NFTs from projects on Cardano for the purpose of endorsement or sponsorship.

He stated, “I don’t personally hold them or do business from a sponsorship and endorsement viewpoint.”

He further said that he has never accepted compensation or endorsements from NFT projects and is not involved in their day-to-day decision-making.

Appreciates the Cardano community

Additionally, he expressed his appreciation for the vibrant NFT community on Cardano while stressing that he doesn’t play favorites among the various projects.

He acknowledged the unique qualities of different projects, such as “hosky,” “snack,” “Apes Society,” and “claymation,” among others, and mentioned the positive interactions he has had with representatives of these projects at conferences.

Throughout the live session, the Co-founder said that any NFTs he possesses from Cardano projects are typically gifts that he may choose to display in his office but not as a form of endorsement.

This is because he wants to set the record straight that he does not receive payments or endorsements for discussing or displaying NFTs from Cardano projects.

His primary focus remains on the technological aspects and challenges of the Cardano ecosystem.

Charles concluded the video by assuring his audience that his involvement in NFT projects is not motivated by endorsements or financial gain.

He invited the NFT community to join the Cardano ecosystem, reinforcing his willingness to engage with various projects and individuals.
