Warner Bros is set to launch the Game of Thrones NFT collection called “Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm” in 2023. The collaboration for the project started in November when Warner Bros Discovery, HBO and Nifty initiated a partnership to allow fans to connect with the story and experience of Game of Thrones using NFTs.
The presale of the Game of Thrones Hero Box NFTs which was made known by Nifty, is scheduled for 8 am PT, January 10, 2023 while the public sale will occur at 12pm PT, on January 10, 2023.
Warner Bros Discovery is a global media and entertainment firm with products across TV, film, streaming, and gaming. It was founded on April 2, 2022. HBO, Home Box Office, is a US-based television network focused on entertainment.
The Warner Bros-owned firm has other subsidiaries, including HBO Films, HBO Asia, HBO Sports, HBO Home Entertainment, HBO Video, and more.
“Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm” NFT experience
Details about the “Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm” NFT collection reveal that it will contain avatars and digital collectibles from Westeros’s Northern regions. In addition, while 3,450 Series 1 Hero Boxes will be available during the presale, each Nifty account is entitled to mint only one box.
For the public sale, there will be 1,500 Hero Boxes, where each Nifty account can mint two extra boxes. Nifty explained that from the first sale, 50 Hero Boxes would be kept for community events, giveaways, customer service issues, and promotional activities.
Users who want to access the NFTs can do so on Nifty secondary NFT marketplace as well as on OpenSea using credit cards as well as debit cards.
Jeff Marsilio, CEO and Co-founder of Nifty’s noted that “The Game of Thrones experience,” which has been in development for a while, is a tool for connecting fans of the movie with the experience of their favorite show. He added that it’s also an opportunity to onboard more fans into the Web3 ecosystem.
