Flutterwave partners with Hedera to integrate Circle’s USDC

Flutterwave and Hedera’s partnership to integrate USDC on Hedera is a huge deal for the crypto industry.
Flutterwave, a leading African payments company, has partnered with Hedera, to integrate USDC on Hedera. This partnership will bring the benefits of USDC to Flutterwave’s users, including instant, low-cost payments and remittances and other benefits to the African payment company. This is also a huge win for Hedera, as it will bring more adoption and usage to the network.
Flutterwave spoke about this at the Africa Money & DeFi Summit West Africa, which took place on October 3rd and 4th. The Africa Money and DeFi Summit West Africa is an event that connects industry leaders from the African fintech and crypto industries with international businesses.

The summit allows networks to do business with popularly known companies in fintech, payments, decentralized finance (DeFi), start-ups, industry stakeholders, and other crypto and Web3-related platforms.

Moreover, the Founder and CEO of Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola (GB), recently revealed the company’s expansion plans and its vision for the future. He mentioned that the company aims to satisfy users’ needs and provide them with seamless transactions through its expansion plan to other countries. GB also mentioned that the company aims to leverage existing infrastructure and partnerships in countries like the UK and India to facilitate these transactions.
Flutterwave’s vision for the years to come is to become a major player in both the technology and finance sectors. They have started making plans to achieve this feat with the Hedera partnership.
In 2021, Flutterwave partnered with Stellar to integrate the (USDC) stablecoin on the Stellar network to simplify remittances between Africa and Europe. The announcement also stated that Flutterwave would work alongside Stellar’s principal EU payments partner, Paris-based money transfer operator, and Tempo Payments.
