Tonkeeper has introduced a new app called Signer, designed to improve the security of cryptocurrency transactions. Signer offers users a safer way to manage and use their private keys by storing them outside of the main wallet, reducing the risk of theft or unauthorized access.
The Signer App is built with flexibility in mind where users can access either of its two different modes. The first mode is Convenience Mode. In this mode, Signer connects with the Tonkeeper app on one device.
This setup is perfect for users who want a simple but secure way to manage their keys without needing multiple devices. It lets users sign transactions directly in the app, making it easy to use while still adding extra protection.
The second mode is Maximum Security Mode. This is for users who prioritize security. In this mode, Signer offers offline signing. Users sign transactions using QR codes, which keeps their private keys away from the internet.
Signer also works smoothly with existing wallets on the TON blockchain. It boosts security by encrypting user keys without making transactions more complicated.
This means anyone can enjoy better security while still easily accessing their keys. To keep private keys safe and easy to reach, Signer uses a password to unlock them. This ensures a good balance between strong security and user convenience.
Tonkeeper is a leading non-custodial wallet designed for the TON (The Open Network) blockchain, enabling users to send, receive, and manage Toncoin and other tokens directly from their mobile devices.
With over 2.3 million active users monthly, it facilitates seamless integration with decentralized applications (dApps) and supports features like staking and NFT management.
Tonkeeper’s collaborations in the TON ecosystem has produced several tools to user experience on TON. For example, Tonkeeper Battery, launched in April 2024, is an innovative feature within the Tonkeeper wallet that allows users to conduct transactions on the TON blockchain without needing to hold Toncoin for gas fees.
It functions as an off-chain account that covers transaction fees for various operations, including payments, staking, and swaps, even when a user’s TON balance is zero. Since its launch, Tonkeeper Battery has facilitated nearly 1 million transactions in a month, saving users over $100,000 in fees,
In July, Tonkeeper also launched the W5 Smart wallet to allow users access to gasless transactions where they don’t need $TON to pay for their gas fees again.
