Tether Operations Limited (Tether) has revealed its participation in the Series-A funding round of the Academy of Digital Industries. While the exact amount of the investment remains undisclosed, the crypto company has consistently demonstrated its commitment to fostering educational initiatives aimed at disseminating knowledge about cryptocurrencies.
Tether Operations Limited is the company behind Tether, a popular stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar. Tether is backed by reserves and can be issued on various blockchains. Despite regulatory challenges and fines, Tether is widely used for trading, as a store of value, and as a means of payment to avoid cryptocurrency volatility.
The Academy of Digital Industries is a progressive education platform that offers online workshops and masterclasses in various fields such as Design, Engineering/Programming, Marketing, Business, Microsoft certification, financial modeling, graphic design, information technology, UI/UX design, programming, and SEO optimization.
It is built around the concept of providing a smart educational environment that promotes self-development, skill-set stimulation, and self-realization. Established in June 2018, the Academy of Digital Industries distinguishes itself through online workshops and masterclasses tailored to promote self-development and skillset growth.
Through the partnership with Tether, the Academy aims to execute a comprehensive global strategy, integrating educational offerings related to Bitcoin, stablecoins, peer-to-peer technologies, and AI.
By leveraging Tether’s global network, user base, and expertise in modern payment and communication domains, the Academy envisions providing students with valuable hands-on experiences in rapidly evolving industries.
Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, expressed the company’s commitment to freedom in finance, communication, and education. “High-quality, accessible, and unbiased education is one of the most important pillars for the future of humanity,” he stated.
Tether recently concluded its inaugural educational program in Georgia, named “Mastering The Blockchain.” In collaboration with the Academy of Digital Industries, Georgian Agency for Innovation and Technology (GITA), and Business and Technology University, the three-week course delved into the basics of Bitcoin, blockchain, and peer-to-peer technologies, exploring their impacts on both traditional and decentralized finance.
The course, featuring distinguished guest lecturers from the Plan ₿ Summer School, attracted students from 28 countries to its annual 10-day program in Lugano, Switzerland. Notable Speakers include Paolo Ardoino, Mathias Buus, Zulfi Moledina, George Gvazava, Beka Kemertelidze, and Eralp Tatipoglu of CityPay.io.
