Coinbase has announced that it will be temporarily offline due to a scheduled technical systems upgrade starting Saturday, March 4th, 2023, at around 9 am PT. The upgrade is expected to take up to 8 hours to complete, and this estimated time is subject to change.
During the system upgrade, several Coinbase products and services will be impacted, including Coinbase.com and Mobile App, Coinbase Exchange and Pro, Coinbase Wallet, Coinbase Prime, Coinbase Custody, Coinbase Card, Coinbase Commerce, Coinbase Pay, and Data Platform.
Coinbase.com and Mobile App (Simple and Advanced Trade)
Trading, transfers, and access to funds will be disabled across the web, mobile, and API during the system upgrade. Recurring buys will be delayed until the system upgrade is complete.
Coinbase Exchange and Pro
All functionality will be disabled across the web, mobile, and all API surfaces.
Coinbase Wallet
Buys and transfers from users’ Coinbase accounts to Coinbase Wallet will be unavailable during the system upgrade. All other Coinbase Wallet functionalities, like send/receive, swap, and transaction submission, will continue to be available.
Coinbase Prime
Trading will be disabled across the web interface and API. Other Coinbase Prime services may also be down for required maintenance periods. For example, all Prime APIs will be impacted for a period during this time, while clients may see delays in custody transactions as well.
Coinbase Custody
Clients may see some delays in custody transactions.
Coinbase Card
Spending transactions will be temporarily disabled, however, there is no impact on card rewards.
Coinbase Commerce
Settlements to Coinbase-managed merchants will be delayed until the system upgrade is complete. Payers attempting to pay from a Coinbase account will need to wait until maintenance is complete to send their transaction.
Coinbase Pay
Buys and transfers from your Coinbase account will be unavailable during the system upgrade.
Data Platform
Data integration outputs will be delayed until the system upgrade is complete.
Coinbase Derivatives
No Impact.
Coinbase Cloud
No Impact.
Coinbase NFT
No impact.
