Twitter has announced the launch of a live chart tool on the platform where users can see the current market features of Bitcoin and Ethereum. The announcement seems to be a positive move that will help the crypto community on Twitter.
The development can be seen as an improvement on previous updates made by Twitter to highlight the emergence of cryptocurrencies and the agencies around them. For example, #Binance and #Bitcoin have special characters attached to them whenever used on the platform.
On Wednesday, the Twitter Business account announced that “when you Tweet the symbol of a major stock, ETF, or cryptocurrency with a $ in front of it (like $BTC), people on Twitter see a clickable link that takes them to search results.” Furthermore, Twitter Business said that the search result for such activities would have pricing graphs for more impressive assets.
Twitter started $Cashtags to help users on the platform to know the love updates of specific financial assets, including cryptocurrencies.
Dogecoin, Elon Musk, and Twitter
The connection between Elon Musk and Dogecoin has been part of discussions on whether the memecoin will be part of the cryptocurrencies that will be selected by Twitter to showcase its live chart.
In July, The Boring Company, founded by Elon musk, announced it would accept Dogecoin as a payment for the Vegas Loop, a tunnel transport system using Tesla cars.
Further breakdown of the new feature by Twitter shows that they will add more financial market data and improve the user experience in a few weeks. The prices shown with the implementation of the chart feature on Twitter are sourced from TradingView and linked to Robinhood, an American trading platform.
In response to the update, Elon tweeted, “One of many product improvements coming to financial Twitter! Nice work by Twitter team.”
