WisdomTree has introduced its newest cryptocurrency investment product, the WisdomTree Physical XRP (XRPW), on key European stock exchanges.
These include Deutsche Börse Xetra, Six Swiss Exchange, and Euronext in Paris and Amsterdam. This product aims to give investors direct access to XRP’s market price through a simple and secure structure.
The XRPW ETP has a management expense ratio of 0.50%, making it the most cost-effective XRP-focused investment product in Europe, according to WisdomTree.
Fully backed by XRP, the product offers exposure to the cryptocurrency’s spot price and uses institutional-grade security features, including a dual-custody model. This ensures that all assets are safely held by regulated custodians and stored in cold storage, minimizing risks.
WisdomTree stated that this new ETP provides an efficient and regulated way for investors to gain exposure to XRP. It is part of WisdomTree’s growing portfolio of nine cryptocurrency ETPs, which already include options for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and diversified crypto baskets.
Alexis Marinof, WisdomTree’s Head of Europe, noted that cryptocurrency ETPs are becoming the preferred method for institutional and individual investors to access the digital asset market, as they combine the benefits of regulation, efficiency, and security.
WisdomTree is a company that creates investment products to help people and organizations grow their money in a simpler, safer, and more efficient way.
Instead of individuals directly buying and managing assets like stocks, bonds, or cryptocurrencies, WisdomTree packages these into products called ETFs (exchange-traded funds) or ETPs (exchange-traded products). These products are traded on stock exchanges, just like individual stocks, making them easy to buy and sell.
Founded in 2006, WisdomTree specializes in physically-backed investments, which means the products are supported by actual assets, such as gold, stocks, or digital currencies, stored securely.

They aim to make investing more accessible by offering diverse options, from traditional markets like stocks and bonds to newer areas like cryptocurrencies.
WisdomTree operates worldwide, managing over $100 billion in assets. Their products are especially appealing to investors who want exposure to certain markets, such as cryptocurrencies, without directly managing or securing those assets themselves.
Its European crypto ETPs are accessible in 15 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, and Switzerland. Additionally, its Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs are available to UK investors, showcasing the company’s broad reach.
This launch comes at a time of growing interest in XRP-focused investment products, despite the ongoing lawsuit in the United States between Ripple Labs, the creator of XRP, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Several U.S. asset managers are actively working to bring similar XRP products to market.
