Chengdu Nationstar Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd., known as Nationstar Aerospace, has achieved a remarkable feat in space technology as the “Tai’an” (Star Era-16) satellite was successfully launched into orbit on July 22, 2023.

According to the report, the satellite carried the Ceres-1 remote-6 carrier rocket and took off from the China Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

This landmark mission marks a significant milestone for China’s platform economy as it explores new opportunities and harnesses the potential of space.

The “Tai’an” (Star Era-16) satellite is built on Nationstar Aerospace’s ADASAT-30 lightweight intelligent satellite platform, equipped with cutting-edge high-performance hyperspectral remote sensing payloads.

Notably, it is the first satellite to carry the innovative satellite-borne blockchain ADAChain payload and star screen system, both developed in-house by Nationstar Aerospace.

The “Tai’an” satellite is expected to collect details of surface image information and extract rich spectral data from targeted areas.

This allows for precise classification and identification of ground objects, making it invaluable for various applications in precision agriculture, water resources management, mineral resource investigation, environmental monitoring, and emergency safety.

The successful deployment of the ADAChain payload on the satellite introduces groundbreaking capabilities to the space industry.

Further details revealed that the on-orbit visual blockchain certificate storage system developed by Nationstar Aerospace enables remarkable “functions such as on-orbit visual blockchain multi-signature authentication, on-orbit video visual broadcasting, and on-orbit visual remote sensing data storage certificate confirmation”.

The integration of blockchain technology in space missions brings unprecedented opportunities for secure data management, authentication, and transmission.

The ADAChain system on the “Tai’an” satellite is set to revolutionize how space-based data services are conducted, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and reliability in satellite imaging and data applications.

This momentous achievement reflects China’s dedication to space exploration and technological innovation. As the “Tai’an” satellite begins its mission in orbit, it holds immense potential for shaping the future of space-based data services and unlocking new frontiers for the platform economy.

Nationstar Aerospace’s pioneering efforts in developing cutting-edge satellite technology, combined with the revolutionary blockchain payload, set a new precedent for the space industry.

It not only elevates China’s position as a major player in space technology but also paves the way for further advancements in the utilization of blockchain in space exploration.
