BNB has opened the door for Web3 enthusiasts and teams to apply for its Zero2Hero Hackathon. The Program, which is free and a 100% virtual experience, will last for 6 months with a series of short week breakdowns for specific sub-programs and targets. The program will run in three phases namely boot camp, hackathon and incubator.
Phase one: Bootcamp
Registration for the first phase will begin from 13th February 2023 and end on the 3rd of March 2023 after which all accepted candidates are on-boarded for the experience. The Bootcamp, which should last for six weeks (16 March 2023 – 14 April 2023), will start with individuals who will be merged into teams in the course of the program.
The focus of the Bootcamp is to teach and learn about Solidity from scratch as weekly assignments are completed. Classes will be conducted in several languages including English, Chinese, and Russian and those who are successful will get an NFT as a certificate.
Phase two: Hackathon
Register opens for the Hackathon from 3rd of March 2023 to 16th April 2023. Then, the Hackathon starts on 17 April 2023 and ends on 12 May 2023. The four weeks program will give Web3 talents around the world a chance to apply their skills toward building a product. Graduates from the Bootcamp are also welcome to participate in this phase. Participants can come as individuals and as a team.
From the first week to the third week, individuals and teams will be building projects that they will submit on the fourth week. There is also a prize pool of $200,000 for participants and tickets for the next phase, Incubator will be handed to those who win the contest.
Phase three: Incubator
This last stage will span from 5th June 2023 to 14th July 2023 after registration, from 17th of April 2023 to 21st May 2023. At the Incubator phase, start-up ideas will be from Hackathon and outside projects who want to build on BNB will be assisted with resources to create a marketable product.
Here, facilitators will be dealing with teams and not individuals. Only qualified teams will be shortlisted for the Incubator series.
