Gala Games has acquired Ember Entertainment and will be onboarding all of Ember Entertainment’s mobile games to Gala. The onboarding will incorporate Web3 reward mechanisms and the games will be released one after another.
Following the acquisition, Ember Entertainment is bringing its whole portfolio of awesome mobile games to the Gala ecosystem, according to Gala.
“As many of you already know, the team at Ember Entertainment created ‘The Walking Dead Empires’. What you may not know is that Ember has a successful portfolio of mobile games, and Gala’s acquisition of Ember means those mobile games will soon be Gala Games,” Gala games said.
The games Meow Match and Dragon Strike by Ember Entertainment, will be the first two games that would be onboarded on Gala. The mobile games feaures a cross-genre mechanics and in-game items. Gala games urged gamers to start playing them immediately, saying that “ownership and rewards mechanics are coming to these titles very soon”.
Cats on Meow Match will become NFT assets on the Gala blockchain, having a cross-functionality and reward utility, Gala games said. For Dragon Strike, Gala account holders will be eligible for a Scroll of Minting that would allow them to mint an in-game item on the blockchain. Extra Scrolls of Minting will go for $100 in the Gala games store. These features are expected to be fully operational in Q2, Gala added.
Meow Match and Dragon Strike are both downloadable from app stores and are playable as well.
Gala believes that “gaming experiences on mobile devices have become sleeker, faster, and more convenient than PC.” According to Gala, the platform is looking to integrate mobile gaming because it could serve as an effective way to onboard massive numbers of new users to Web3 gaming, build a sustainable ecosystem with rewarding games for all types of players, empower people through play, even in life’s duller moments of waiting, and give everyone all over the world a chance to empower themselves.
