Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has appointed a new Chief of Communications. Patrick Hillmann, the Binance Chief of Communications joins the leading cryptocurrency exchange after leaving Edelman where he was global head of innovation.
Hillmann will work to oversee all of Binance corporate communications, public affairs, media relations and stakeholder engagement efforts. He will also work with the Binance compliance and security leaders as Binance coordinate with regulators across the globe.
As the Chief Communications Officer, Patrick Hillmann is tasked with growing the company’s global communications and public affairs division to match its evolution.
Speaking on the appointment, Patrick Hillman said, joining the Binance leadership team is a once in a lifetime opportunity to leverage his experience to support an organization that is changing the world.
“As we continue to grow in cooperation with global regulators, the potential of this industry is virtually impossible to project today”, he added.
Prior to joining Binance, Patrick Hillmann was Global Head of Innovation at Edelman. He was also Public affairs and advocacy at the National Association of Manufacturers and director public advocacy, government affairs and policy at General Electric.
Binance co-founder, Yi He also spoke on the appointment, she said; Hillman has a proven track record of repositioning some of the world’s largest brands in highly regulated industries which sets him apart clearly.
Hillman also held leadership roles in Levick, Olson and Ketchum.
